Punekar Swati Davale became the first female winner on the cinematic quiz show, Bollywood Ka Boss on FILMY, winning a cash prize of Rs 1.7 lakhs on the barrelhead. The show that was aired on March 2 witnessed Davale, the only lady on the episode garnering unstinted support from the ladies in the audience. She reminisces that it was a great feeling being on the spotlight and interacting with none other than actor-entertainer Boman Irani, who she says ,was magnanimously sweet.
Preparing for the show for Davale who works for a private telecom company was quite simple. “Since knowing about films is the only criterion to win the show, there is no set syllabus. Though I did watch a lot of movies, you can’t call such an enjoyable activity as preparation,” she smiles.
She had to sweat it out though entering the contest through numerous SMS rounds and written tests defeating around 9000 people on her way. And on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the society was all set to felicitate her for her cinematic prowess.
